Bluegrass in Spring

Mother’s Day weekend, May 11-12, Calico Ghost Town will hold its annual Bluegrass in the Spring Festival featuring many bluegrass and country artists.
Among the featured performers are, Grasslands, Out of the Desert, Lilies of the West, Virtual Strangers, and S.W.B.A. Bluegrass Kids. Special Consensus and Nu-Blu will open for the headliner of the Saturday night concert in the Silver Bowl, Scott Slay and the Rail.
Other acts include The Blue Creek Band, Windy Ridge, Chris Cerna and the Bluegrass Republic, and The Billhillyz. Just to name a few. Additional family entertainment will include the Bon Family Cloggers and Pig Racing Show, and blacksmith demos.
The Blue Creek Band will host a Friday Night Jam, May 10 at 7 p.m. in the Campground “A” amphitheater. Camping is available and may be booked by calling (877) 38-PARKS.
The Calico Town and shops will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Entrance to the festival is $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 4-11, and kids 3 and under are FREE.
